GPM Wins a Telly!
GPM is proud to announce that its short movie entitled “The
Promise of Rain” has been selected as a Telly Award Finalist
in two categories. The Telly Awards recognize outstanding films
and video productions that are created for broadcast outside the
network television realm.
“The Promise of Rain” is targeted toward policy makers,
educators, and the general public and presents the concept of GPM
using non-technical language. The eight-minute film begins by asserting
the importance of water to life on our planet. It explores how knowledge
about precipitation will benefit mankind. Through the perspective
of a young girl dressed in a rain slicker, viewers learn about the
architecture of GPM, how it will function, and how its information
will be used globally.
