The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will host the Fifth GPM Workshop at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, Japan on November 7-9, 2005. Previous GPM planning workshops were hosted by NASA in the Washington, DC area, the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands, and JAXA in Japan.

Like the preceding GPM Workshops, this event promises to be an excellent forum for participants to exchange information, provide research and applications user input, and strengthen partnerships. Topics to be covered at this Workshop include:

Overall GPM science objectives

Science, program, and system status

Research and applications user needs

Mission products and algorithms

The conference will consist of oral presentations and panel discussions. All parties interested in the GPM mission are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Please contact the Workshop Secretariat via email (oki.riko@jaxa.jp) if you are interested in receiving additional information.
