Arthur Hou, the GPM Project Scientist, established the GPM Ground Validation Advisory Panel as a group of experts co-chaired by Dr. Christian Kummerow and Dr. Walter A. Petersen. The Panel provides advice and recommendations to the GPM Project on matters related to ground validation objectives, implementation approaches, and methods. A summary of the Panel's deliberations and recommendations is available as a "white paper" entitled GPM Ground Validation: Strategy and Efforts. In addition to Drs.
